The Pride of Texas All-stars was founded in August of 2005, by a young individual with a trememndous amount of passion for this sport. Our program is designed to provide an Allstar team for any age, as well as all ability levels. In our very first season, we chose four teams, 2 large and 2 small and began our journey with the goal of one day providing a family environment that would be home to hundereds of athletes that possess a great deal of passion for the sport of competitive cheerleading. In our previous 3 seasons, our program has grown to 8 teams and over 150 athletes. Although these teams encompass a wide range of ages and levels they are each designed to be highly competitive within their divisions. With the passion that each staff member carries and history behind our achievments, we proudly lead our athletes by example and look forward to reaching new goals as we continue to grow. Our daily goals are to teach our athletes the value of self discipline, commitment, dedication, hard work, integrity, leadership, self confidence, positive attitude, and a love for the sport of competitive cheerleading. We work on each athletes individual skills to ensure there is a strong foundation on which to first build a great person, athlete and ultimately a solid cheerleading squad.
The University of Houston in 2003 at the NCA Collegiate National Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida. Witness Coach Christian as he becomes the first and only athlete in College cheerleading history to compete a standing double full. Unfortunately, the music begins to skip in the process and the team waits to perform once again. As the crowd chants encore, a new cd arrives and the second time around, proves to be even more magical!
Each family is extremely important to us and our program. Athletes will quickly become a vital role in the fastest growing allstar family in the Memorial & Greater Houston area, and shortly realize why we truly "HAVE IT GOIN' ON".
